And since home decorating and fashion trends go hand-in-hand, grommets are also being used on many items for the home. Grommets are showing up as embellishments pillows, ottomans, shower curtains, and of course, curtains.</p>
<p>Until recently, grommets were limited to those pesky metal rings that need special equipment to install or were whacked together with a hammer.</p>
<p>Grommets are now available to the home sewer and they require NO TOOLS and are super-easy to install—they simply snap together! Here&#8217;s some tips to help you include grommets in your next sewing project.</p>

<p>Cut a piece of cardboard to the length of the tassel. Wrap embroidery floss around the cardboard to achieve the desired thickness. To make the tassel head, gather the floss at one edge of the cardboard and tie it together with matching floss.
